Designed for use on curved and heavy haul tracks, it is available to EN, AREMA and other national and international standards.

Our uniquely low residual stress rail is produced using a unique patented heat treatment process that ensures exceptional wear resistance, ensuring our SF rail provides longer service lifetimes.

The low residual stresses achieved substantially reduce the risk of rail foot fatigue failure compared to all other heat-treated rails.

The <50MPa levels are far lower than those that can be achieved by any on-line/in-line heat treatment process. By decreasing the tensile stresses in the foot in service, there is a reduced risk of failure from corrosion pits or other damage to the rail foot.
